Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers see familiar objects with fresh attention. A strong contribution has a defined subject, a useful point of view and a clear boundary around what it can responsibly explain.

What we welcome

Pitch accessible essays about materials, ordinary care, low-risk repair, reuse or passing household items on. We are interested in comparisons, explainers, background pieces and occasion-specific guides, provided each has a distinct purpose and does not rely on claims you cannot support.

A useful pitch

Tell us the proposed title or subject, the central idea, what readers will understand by the end and why the piece suits Lasting News Bulletin. Include a brief note about your approach and any sources or relevant experience you would draw on. Do not send a complete draft unless we request one.

Boundaries and sending proposals

We do not seek instructions for hazardous work, professional repair services, medical or legal guidance, or claims based on unverified testing. Proposals are sent through the Contact page; choose the editorial question option and include the word pitch in your message.
